England are in real trouble against Bangladesh, with captain Eoin Morgan out for a duck as the English attempt to chase down 275.

ENGLAND is in real danger of being eliminated from the World Cup tonight as it struggles in its run chase against Bangladesh in Adelaide.

Heading into the final 10 overs England needed 95 runs to win with just four wickets in hand.

Their hopes rested firmly on the shoulders of wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler, who was looking good on 30 off 32 balls.

Buttler and Chris Woakes (10 n.o.) came to the crease after Ian Bell (63), captain Eoin Morgan (0), James Taylor (1) and Joe Root (29) in quick succession as Bangladesh's bowlers took charge.

Opener Bell batted well for his 63 but when he was removed by Rubel Hossain - in the same over as Morgan - England's nerves began to be frayed.

In fact the pressure appeared to be getting to the English players early in their innings, with Moeen Ali run out for 19 after being caught in a terrible mix-up with Bell.

Earlier, Mahmudullah became the first Bangladesh player to score a World Cup century in his side's total of 7-275.

Ninth-ranked Bangladesh smashed 78 runs in the last 10 overs in a dramatic recovery from 2-8.

The diminutive Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahumudullah shared a 141-run partnership for the fifth wicket before Mahmudullah was run out for 103 in the 46th over at 5-240.
