HE'S married to one of the most famous women in the world and boasts a legion of female fans all desperate to spend time in his company.

But The Voice coach Joel Madden can't take a break with women on this year's series, still struggling to win over the first female singer to his team.
In tonight's blind audition, the Good Charlotte bad boy even does himself an injury — bruising his ego badly — when he resorts to wooing one of the female singers with roses.

Never too proud to beg for the best singers, Madden comes a cropper when his chair malfunctions and throws him off like a lame rodeo rider.

Helped back up by his bemused rivals, an embarrassed Madden later complains to Kylie Minogue: "the girls all hate me this year."
Ironically, former Australian Idol finalist Hayley Jensen's performance is to the Zoe Badwi hit Free Fallin' — a coincidence not lost on will.i.am who laughs: "you really were free fallin."

Madden has scored some strong male talent on his team, including Melbourne veteran Harry Healey, rock powerhouse Frank Lakoudis and guitar man Luke Koteras.
But he's had a reputation for sounding out the sexy female singers in previous seasons, attracting pin-up girls like Kiyomi Vella, Prinnie Stevens and Mahalia Barnes.
He has tried to counter the appeal of new coach will.i.am by offering to wear a Will mask for potential team members; or in the case of Martin, boasts he can introduce the singers to the Latin charmer off set.
