MY Kitchen Rules contestants Andrew and Emelia failed to impress the judges, and the stress made viewers question if they were a perfect match.

The newly dating couple from the ACT set out to cook Shrimp in a Barrel, followed by Gourmet Gumbo with seafood and chorizo sausage for main course and then a Chocolate Cherry Tart with Kirsch cream for dessert.

Like many MKR contestants before them - nothing went according to plan.

When they were preparing each dish, and serving it, it became obvious to the judges and viewers that the "stress" was starting to take its toll.

The couple claim on the MKR website they have found "The One" with each other, but viewers begged to differ on Twitter.

Many criticised the way Andrew spoke to Emelia after he saw the way she had prepared the mussels for main course.

At one point Emelia tells Andrew: "You can't second guess everything I do", before she says "just do what ever you want".

Viewers thought they were not suited to each other at all.

The term Canberra started to trend on Twitter during the show, as many viewers claimed they were also a poor representation for the ACT.

The couple copped criticism from judges Manu Feildel and Pete Evans from the start.

Their Shrimp in a Barrel was described as "confusing" by Feildel before he found out they had used pineapple juice, Jack Daniels and curry powder for the sauce.

He then said: "I don't know where you got that recipe it should stay in America".

Evans added that the sauce was "killing the prawns".

There was a bit of a wait between courses, and it left some of them eating their lollipop decorations.

Even Feildel tweeted during the show that he was getting "hungry", when reflecting upon the dinner.

But when their Gourmet Gumbo finally came out, Evans did not hold back.

He poignantly pointed out that there was "no love" on the plate, while Feildel said he could only see "stress".

While the couple redeemed themselves with dessert, they only got a total score of 47, compared to Annie and Jason from NSW who scored 82 on Monday night.

Viewers continued to express their hatred of WA contestants Chloe and Kelly, who are this season's new baddies.

Many fans also chuckled about what the other contestants would be thinking after eating at Andrew and Emelia's place.
