Big Kev returns to Biggest Loser

Kevin Moore, who shot to fame as the heaviest contestant in the history of The Biggest Loser, is set to return to the Channel 10 weight loss show.

Moore started last year's The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation at a whopping 254 kilos but had dropped 55.4 kilos to 198.6 kilos by series end.

The 28-year old, from New South Wales, has decided he has unfinished business and is set to join the fray on The Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia from next Monday, as this sneak peek of the episode shows.

Moore has lost more weight in recent months but that is not enough to stop him still being the heaviest contestant on this year's show.

"I still have a lot to achieve," Moore says. "My goal last season was to weigh under 200 kilos and now I'm aiming to lose a total of 100 kilos across the two series.

"That is a big task but this is a great opportunity to come back into an environment that is totally shaped around achieving my goals."

Moore says dropping more than 55 kilos last year was a life-changer for him and girlfriend Julie.

"She was absolutely stoked (after last year) because I could start living life with her," Moore says.

"We were no longer sitting at home doing nothing. We could go out and do things together."

Moore appeared on last year's The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation with his mother Rosemary Reynolds.

Moore's time was filled with drama including a visit to hospital after a training session. Rosemary served up an f-bomb spray to trainers Shannan Ponton, Michelle Bridges and Steve 'Commando' Willis when her son's eating habits were criticised.

This time Moore is doing competing solo.

The Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia is filled with contestants from the Victorian regional town of Ararat.

"I really didn't know what to expect," Moore says. "Everyone came from the same area except for me.

"Last year's show built my confidence up. I was able to achieve things I never thought possible. I held my head high.

"I'm very focused and determined to make sure I reach my goal. In this environment there are no excuses."
