IT is a pain her husband knows only too well — Kyly Clarke has been forced to pull out of Dancing With The Stars after tearing her hamstring.
"I'm devastated," Clarke told Confidential. "I'm disappointed and kind of in shock as well, I really didn't think I would be leaving the show under these circumstances."

Kyly's cricketer husband, Michael, has been troubled by back and hamstring injuries throughout his career. And he's even had to adjust his international travel schedule in order to manage his injury concerns.
"Michael has a hamstring injury too but it is a different one to mine," she explained. "He has torn that part that makes him have to stop running straight away. Mine is a dancers injury, ballerinas usually get what I've got. Mine is a lot higher up where the hamstring goes into your butt."

Kyly's husband, who is in Dubai for the Pakistan Test Series, has support from overseas.
"He was obviously very disappointed for me because I am having an absolute blast and I'm enjoying this journey so much," she said.
Kyly, 33, one of the early favourites in the competition, reluctantly informed producers she couldn't continue on the advice of her doctor, John Orchard.
"If she was to continue to dance, she risks tearing it off the bone and then having to have surgery," Dr Orchard said in a letter to producers.

Kyly will undergo months of rehab to get back to form.
"I'm in a fair bit of pain, which is annoying because it is constantly reminding me," she said.
"Obviously because I am such a fitness person, the first thing I asked was when I could run on a treadmill again or when I could go on the cross trainer. I'm usually pretty good with pain. The doctor really had to convince me I couldn't do the show."
Other contestants on the show have also suffered injuries. Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter threw her hip and has torn a muscle under her ribs while Home and Away actor Tai Hara pulled his groin.

Kyly is hoping she will be fit enough to return to the dance floor for the finale episode later in the season.
"Wouldn't that be nice," she said. "It is slow and steady wins the race with this one."
Meanwhile, Michael Clarke appears on the cover of the latest issue of GQ Australia.
In stores on Monday, the cricketer told the magazine it took time to get used to the spotlight, and criticism, that came with captaining the Australian team.
"Through the highs and lows, people have questioned me, my style of play and the way I captain," he told GQ.
"That sort of scrutiny is natural in human beings. Some people you like, others you don't. But I'm fine with the spotlight now because it's not about all the other garbage off the field. It falls my way because I'm captain of Australia, and I love that responsibility."
