OSCAR winner Eddie Redmayne is fast becoming the new prince of Hollywood — and it turns out he also went to school with royalty.
Redmayne, who picked up the Best Actor Oscar for The Theory Of Everything, became mates with Prince William when they went to boarding school together in England in the 1990s.
They both attended Eton College, and were members of "Pop" — a group of elected prefects at the school.
Pictures of the two from their school days have been getting shared around on social media.

Redmayne says they were on the same rugby team in 1997 — and told Glamour magazine he felt sorry for the prince because he copped it harder than the others.
"He's a wonderful man," he said.
"I always felt slightly sorry for him because everyone wanted to tackle the future king of England. He took all the hits."
He says he hasn't seen the prince since school but calls him a "lovely man".
