Rolf Harris has spent his first night in jail amid criticism the sex offender's sentence is too lenient.
IT'S the open prison that's been dubbed the Savoy of Slammers for its cushy atmosphere — and it will soon be home to convicted paedophile Rolf Harris.
Harris, 84, who was jailed on Friday, will spend just four weeks at London's notorious Wandsworth jail before he is transferred to Leyhill Prison in Gloucestershire, according to British media reports.

Harris, who was convicted and jailed for 12 counts of indecent assault, will be free to roam the grounds of the complex and take part in courses.

His age means he will get a $16-a-week pension and a free TV, the Mirror says.
Campaigners against sex abuse slammed the transfer as a further insult to the victims, who already felt his sentence should be longer.

In the past three days at least a dozen women have come forward in Australia and New Zealand to claim he molested them in the 1970s and 80s.
