What caused Curry-Kenny split?

FORMER Australian swimmer Lisa Curry has broken her silence on why her marriage to ex-husband and former Ironman Grant Kenny broke down.

In an interview with A Current Affair tonight, Curry said she was misdiagnosed with a medical condition that caused problems in their marriage.

Known as 'The Rushing Woman's Syndrome', it describes the biochemical and emotional effects of constantly being in a rush and the health consequences of it.

The condition affects women and men, who experience hormone imbalances which can lead to stress, depression and even infertility.

Curry, 52, said she has had the syndrome for a long time, and admitted it "created a lot of tension" while she was married to Kenny.

"The Rushing Woman Syndrome is absolutely me. It's been me for a long time," she said.

"I didn't want to seem like I was the only cow on earth, but it always felt like that to me.

"I had days where I just felt completely out of control.

"I was angry, irritable, moody, cried for no reason, and wanted to kill the world."

Curry said she went to see a doctor who wanted to put her on antidepressants, but she knew that was not the solution.

She then turned to a naturopath, who gave her a "happy hormone supplement" which she drinks with her morning smoothies.

Curry also publicly apologised to men around Australia for her and other women's behaviour, who may have the syndrome.

"On behalf of me and all women in Australia, I want to say sorry to all the guys, cause they cop it, the men cop it, it's the men that are closest in your life, and ...they don't even have to do anything, yet they cant do anything right or wrong...in our eyes they're the worst person in the world," she said.

"Sorry guys, but I'm glad there's a name for it now and I'm glad we've got a solution."

Kenny, 50, and Curry, were recently seen together at Grant's Queensland home last month.

They were married from 1986 until 2009.

Curry, who is now a health and fitness coach reportedly spent the night at Kenny's home, where they both Skyped their daughter Morgan, who lives in Paris.

Curry posted an image of their Skype call to Instagram.

Curry and Kenny have three adult children from their high-profile 23-year marriage.

The youngest child Jett, a budding ironman, left high school two years ago.

Their eldest daughter Jaimi, 26, has been living in Brisbane while their middle child Morgan, has been living her dream as a chorus girl with the Moulin Rouge in Paris.

Kenny has largely avoided romance since splitting with Curry. Instead the workaholic threw himself into his business. In recent years Kenny has sold assets including Queensland-based Curry Kenny Aviation which netted an estimated $70 million.

He is reportedly the father of Fifi Box's daughter Trixie, although the pair have never commented on the speculation.

Curry and her One Life, Once Chance Aussie Roadtrip is currently visiting regional and rural Australian towns to give locals the chance to talk and work with her one on one to tackle obesity.
